1) الشافعي امام الناس كلهم في العلم و الحلم و العلياء و الباس 2) اصحابه خير اصحاب و مذهبه خير المذاهب عند الله و الناس 3) له الامامة في الدنيا مسلمة كما الخلافة في اولاد عباس 4) وذلك لسبع خلون من جمادي الاولي من سنة ثمان و ستمائة

1) Al-Shafi'i is the imam of all the people in knowledge, intelligence, nobility and power. 2) His disciples are the best, his doctrine is the best, in the eyes of God and the people. 3) The imamate was conferred on him in this world, just as the caliphate is chosen from the descendants of 'Abbas. 4) This (was executed) on the 7th Jumada I of the year 608/17 October 1211.
