Has ordered the construction of this noble portal through the grace of God most high our lord and master, dominant over us, the sultan, the sovereign al-Malik al-Ashraf Abu'l-Nasr Qansuh al-Ghawri, may his victory be glorified. The completion of this edifice was at the beginning of Rajab, the unique, in the year 911/June 1505.
