Inscription Text:

ُThis dome is the tomb of the humble one seeking the mercy and pardon of God, the sultan al-Malik al-Salih Najm al-Din Ayyub b. al-Sultan al-Malik al-Kamil Najm al-Dunya wa'l-Din Muhammad b. Abu Bakr b. Ayyub. He passed away unto God's mercy, fighting a holy war at al-Mansura, in the middle of Sha'ban in the year 647/November-December 1249.
